Kelder Online Booking Form

Karoolkie Kelder sits proudly between a vineyard and an olive grove in the heart of Barrydale. It is privately owned but is made available for use to local Barrydale residents for community events, non-profit events and small private events. The ultimate aim is to promote arts and culture and a sense of community.

CONDITIONS OF USAGE
Karoolkie Kelder is a unique building and a precious resource in the community, so conditions of usage are in place as a guide for everyone.

• No smoking is permitted inside the building
• Nothing may be attached to the walls, beams or columns with any type of fixing without prior arrangement. For, example no nails, screws, staples, tape etc may be used on any part of the building
• Dancing is only allowed on the wooden lower level
• The building must be cleaned after use leaving it in the same condition received, otherwise a cleaning fee of R300 will be taken off the deposit. This includes removing all rubbish from the building and cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen if used.
• If set up time for an event is needed before the day of hire, an additional fee will be charged
• Set up can be done from 8am on day of the event and take down must end by midnight
• If an extra day is required for set up, the building may only be used to prepare for the function. No socializing or any other use is allowed
• No music outside the building unless by arrangement
• Tables and chairs are available for use at no extra charge
• The upstairs area and walkway and staircase may not be used
• Please ensure that all lights are turned off after use and the gate is closed

PAYMENT AND HOURS OF USE
• The minimum cost to hire Karoolkie Kelder is R1500 depending on the function
• Deposit is R1500 refundable after the function
• Both amounts are due on confirmation of booking
• The cost allows usage from 8am to midnight on date of function unless prior arrangements are made
• If the venue is required before the date of function, there will be an additional cost of R500 for access from 8am to 2pm on weekdays

Key to be collected from Cornelius on day of function or on Friday before 12noon if function is on a weekend and returned the next day or on Monday if it’s a weekend.
